Whenever I say “ballet,” Lila will hold onto the closest support and lift her leg into an arabesque. Sometimes, she leans reallly forward, holding on with one hand and looks like a pro!
Lila has become extremely chatty on the “phone”. She’ll talk on the cellphone, video monitor, remote controls, flip camera, anything really.

Lila has been babbling so much more these days. Many of her words begin with a B so she is always saying baba. It either means – ball, balloon, banana, baby or bubbles. She also knows that certain animals say certain things – doggie / woo woo. Milk & Paci are both na na.
Now that it’s getting so cold out, I want to put gloves and hats on Lila, but she refuses. She just hates anything on her hands and head other than a pin to keep her hair out of her eyes. I hope this changes soon.

I was originally planning to update this blog for Lila’s first year only, but after many requests, we will start posting updates again. Here’s the first of our catch up – Month 13 – enjoying Tire Park, before it was renovated. This month, Lila got used to her newest skill – walking! And of course, our big family trip to China!

Today, I realized that Lila is really growing up way too fast!
In the morning, she took her very first steps! We were all SOoooo proud of her.
Today was also her dol/Korean first birthday party. She was a trooper and stayed up through the whole thing. She even entertained everyone when it was time for the doljabee with dramatic pauses and enjoying the attention.
